BravoTV already brought us great shows like Project Runway, Top Chef, Top Design and the Real Housewives of Orange County, but now they have their long overdue Make me a supermodel series. In the following scene the models were paired up for a sexy photoshoot between the sheets. On of the duos was lesbian and one gay. However, doctors also said women often mentioned celebrities whose breasts they did not want, particularly Anderson, Dolly Parton and Victoria Beckham.

Peter Wilby of The Gaurdian has a great insight in the recent Britney mediarama:

"Is this, as Peter Preston argued in the Guardian, 'mental illness as the new spectator sport' in which the journalists who bring news and pictures of her latest escapades - assisted by an assortment of unnamed people described as friends, pals, confidantes and relatives - are working on our behalf? Up to a point, Lord Copper. I've acknowledged myself that newspapers can now, from internet activity, get an instant guide to what interests the public, and Britney Spears is Googled more often than anybody on the planet. But we are dealing here with an industry, the celebrity industry, that makes it hard to know where reality lies. As Hilary Freeman, one of the Mail's 'experts', put it, Spears 'isn't a person, she's a brand'.

I would not accuse Spears of faking what appears to be a mental illness, any more than I would accuse Kylie Minogue of faking cancer. But as both cases show, the celebrity industry, with the connivance of the news outlets, is capable of turning any kind of illness (except, I suppose, things like irritable bowel syndrome) to its advantage. One is reminded of Oscar Wilde: the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about. Spears's latest single, Piece of Me, shot almost immediately to number two in the UK charts. Star struck

If there is one celeb I adore, it must be Pamela Anderson. She is just fabulous. I've read her books last year, Star and Starstruck and they are both amazing. It is a mix of biography, soap opera and really horny porn. I never thought that the words about a woman having sex with 10 inch rock monsters would give me such a hard-on :) Well, my fav website pinkisthenewblog.com have posted some gorgeous pictures of Päm and it couldn't help myself and copy-pasted them for you all... and for myself. A Whole Lotta Crap: Gay Men Can't Drive

In our category "whole lotta crap", a recent study by UK researchers:

According to a new study by UK researchers, women and gay men are likely to be the worst drivers, performing poorly in tasks involving navigation and spatial awareness when compared to heterosexual men. Psychologists at Queen Mary, University of London, who conducted the study, believe the findings mean driving in a strange environment would be more difficult for gay men and women than for straight male motorists. Both tend to rely on local landmarks to get around, and are also slower to take in spatial information, Telegraph.co.uk reports. The computer-based tests were carried out on 140 volunteers, and demonstrated that gay men, straight women and lesbians navigated in a similar way, sharing the same weaknesses.
Dr Rahman said: "Men are good at using distal, or geometrical cues, to decide if they're going north or south, for instance. They have a better basic sense of direction, but they can use local land marks as well. Driving in a novel environment which is poor in cues is where these differences are likely to show up most. Women are going to take a lot longer to reach their destination, making more errors, taking wrong turns etc. They need more rich local landmarks."
Dr Rahman added that a similar performance between gay and straight men in the radial arms test showed that the divisions between sexual groups were not straightforward. "Gay people appear to show a 'mosaic' of performance, parts of which are male-like and other parts of which are female-like," he said.

The Movies of 08

Though the Writers' Strike in Hollywood might prevent some movies from going into production, for me 2008 is going to be big. The trailer of Narnia 2: prince Caspian looks better than the entire first movie and Jumper, well, this movie is already such a hype, let's hope it will live up to the expectations. I guess it could be this decade's Matrix...

Piece of Remix

Sometimes I need a brilliant remix to totally get into a song. First I thought Piece Of Me was a piece of crap, beng one of the most outdated songs on the new album. But it only took me this great "Boz O Lo" remix to make it skip to the top of my ipod playlist.
