BoomBox 07 - part one

With the end of the year come those awful "best of" lists. Well, I'm gonna do things my way and call it a BoomBox! I will post 5 different BoomBoxes each containing the best tracks of the past year. And we start with:

The Songs That Brought Tears To My Eyes in 2007:

"With Every Heartbeat" by Kleerup ft. Robyn
It marked the return of the Swedish pop princess on the scene and has some special memories to me personally. The beat is very addictive and Robyn cold hearted vocals fit the song perfectly.
"And it hurts with every heartbeat"

"Neglected" by Katharine McPhee
The most underrated artist of 2007 was miss McPhee. Her album was good to very good and has some great songs on it. Neglected was by far the best. It made me cry the first ten times I've heard it. (Yes, I'm a pussy)
"If this is how you try to make it up to me than let's just end it"

"Tonight" by Krezip
The Dutch band Krezip had the best ballad of the year (sorry Leona), but unfortunately their record company thinks we don't like it. Everybody I played this track to told me it was one of the best songs they've ever heard. It makes me have goosebumps all over.
" I should be happy here on my own, but I'm not"

"Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis
If you haven't heard this song, you must be living on the other side of the artic circle. It's Sinnead O'connor only without the lesbian priest thing.
"My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing"

"Call The Shots" by Girls Aloud
How much did I initially hate his song. Being a big GA fan, I was shocked by the melodramatic vibe on this song. But it's more than a grower and has made it into my Top3 GA tracks. The whole vibe gives me chills down my spine.
"I've seen life flow by like a river"
